Ford Tri-Motor at KHEF Sep 23rd-30th!
Please help support Chapter 186 as we host a 1929 Ford Tri-Motor at Manassas Regional Airport. It takes a number of volunteers to safely operate the aircraft and allow friends and neighbors to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly in the world’s first mass produced airliner. The required jobs are:
Shift Team Leader – responsible for supervising the flight operation to ensure that all volunteers are working efficiently and safely
Starter – responsible for ensuring the general safety of the aircraft and public during aircraft operations. Signals the Captain for engine start.
Passenger Escort – responsible for briefing the passengers, taking the ticket stubs, and escorting them to and from the Ford Tri-Motor.
Bench Escort – responsible for opening closing aircraft door, positioning bench, ensuring all aboard are properly seated with seat belts fastened (demonstrate if necessary).
Rope Escort – responsible for safety keeping passengers away from right wing area. Greet and direct off-loading passengers to exit, ensuring that no passengers get under the rope or wander around the aircraft.
Ticket Barker – will assist the EAA cashier selling tickets and processing the passengers.
Crowd Control – watches the crowd, answers questions, provides directions, and keeps control of the audience in general.
