Chapter 186 of the Experimental Aircraft Association believes you have a right to know what type of information we may collect when you interact with us, as a website visitor, an EAA 186 member, or a customer for Chapter Merchandise, and our practices with respect to that information. The guidelines contained herein apply to information collected by or for EAA Chapter 186 (“EAA 186”). This includes, among other things, EAA 186’s home website,, and any other website operated by or for EAA 186. While EAA 186 does not generally require that you provide us with personally identifiable information (for example, in order to visit and use the EAA 186 Site), please note that in order to participate in some activities, it will be necessary for you to provide such information. EAA 186 may ask you to provide Personal Information, defined for the purposes of this Policy as individually identifiable information, such as your name, EAA member number, email address, mailing address, telephone number, to, among other things, enable you to join EAA 186, be a Young Eagles® or EAA Eagle Flights® pilot, participate in events, fill out a registration, or order Chapter Merchandise.

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our EAA organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via our news Blast in the future to tell you about events, new Chapter Merchandise, or changes to this privacy policy. In addition, with each Blast you receive from EAA 186, you will be given the opportunity to indicate if you do not wish to receive future Blasts from EAA 186.

Only EAA 186 Chapter Officers and Board Members who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, Young Eagles or Membership) are granted access to personally identifiable information. EAA 186 seeks to maintain reasonable precautions designed to help protect the security of your Personal Information and in preventing unauthorized access, misuse, loss or accidental disclosure of it through the use of appropriate technology and internal procedures. However, EAA 186 cannot and does not guarantee the security of your Personal Information or that any communications means will be uninterrupted, error free or not intercepted by others improperly and without authorization.

We request information from you on our order form for Chapter Merchandise. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and email address). This information is used to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.

Notice To/Regarding Children Under the Age of 13
