Thanks to everyone who attended the March 2017 Young Eagles Rally

EAA Chapter 186 would like to thank everyone who attended the March 2017 Young Eagles Rally at Manassas Airport! We hope all of our visitors had a great time, and we really look forward to seeing everyone again.

Our Young Eagle pilots donate their time, their aircraft and any costs associated with the flight. A special thanks to our plots for this rally: Gene Pettit, George Philipps, Jack McCombs and Chris Mayer. Our thanks also to our ground crew who generously volunteer their time and efforts: Anne McCombs, Tina Rigor, Mary Dominiak, Judy Sparks, Andrew Shippin, Jim Stone, Ron Sisemore and Rich Long.

The EAA Young Eagles program was started in 1992 to give interested young people, ages 8 – 17, an opportunity to experience the joy of flight in a general aviation airplane. Since 1992 more than 2 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight through the program. We believe our young people are our next generation of pilots and employees in the aviation industry. EAA wants to show these young people that there are opportunities in aviation available to them. It starts with a Young Eagles flight.
