A Tale of Two Lancairs

Zoom with your fellow members (Zoom info below) to hear Mike Fantini (aka Fanman) talk about what was involved in his decision to purchase a Lancair Legacy. Mike retired from the USAF Senior Leader as a Major General and former operational F-16 pilot with the need for speed. He previously owned an RV-7A but found, with a cruise speed of only about 160KIAS, it never quite met his expectations for the speed he seeks. Read more ->>
Chapter Vice-President, Danny Miller, who recently flew with Mike adds, “The Legacy will cruise at 240KIAS so, after flying with him, I could see the pleasure he displayed.” I told him, “It’s not an F-16 but for a little piston powered GA airplane, it’s not too bad.” Mike will address his mission criteria, his search for the right airplane, the research he put into determining which aircraft met his criteria, the people and organizations he spoke with along the way, prebuy inspection, insurance requirements, transition training, the flight home to KHEF from Redmond, OR and maybe a few more inspirations. 
Depending on how much time remains, Danny Miller will follow Mike’s presentation with his own experience buying his Lancair 360.
