Chapter Lending Policies
- Any borrower must be a Chapter Member in good standing.
- For each item that the library loans, the borrower will leave a collateral deposit of ten dollars ($10.00,US) or ten percent of the replacement value, whichever is greater, with the librarian.
- An item's collateral deposit will be refunded upon the safe return of said item in proper working order.
- Members may borrow as many as ten (10) items at a time.
- Items will normally be delivered to a Member at a General Meeting and each item is expected and due to be returned at the following General Meeting.
- Upon failure to return an item for three General meetings (the expected return date plus two more meetings), the deposit will be forfeited, a replacement item will be ordered, and the borrower will be billed for the replacement cost less the deposit amount. Replacement cost shall be construed to include, without limitation, such things as long distance calls to place orders, the cost of the relacement goods, shipping, handling, insurance, etc. for the replacement goods.
- The Chapter's Board of Directors reserves the right to make changes to the Lending Policies at any business meeting having a quorum of directors present.
- If you have any tapes, books, or plans which you would like to donate to the chapter library, please bring them with you to one of the meetings and give them to either the Librarian or one of the directors.
- The Library has some funding for new acquisitions... let me hear some suggestions from you (phone, email, general meeting or director's meeting). Otherwise... the Librarian gets to choose!
- If there is a particular item that you would like to borrow, email Joe Tkacik, the Librarian, or call him at 703-257-0505. If he have the item he'll bring it to the next meeting. If he doesn't, hopefully it will be promptly returned so that others have a chance to use it.
- *** missing *** indicates that the item is not checked out and has been missing for more than six months. Please take a look around your 'hangar' and see if any of these A/C tapes got detained at your location because of bad weather or maintenance problems. If they did, please help them return safely.
